Christmas in Compton

Compton born recording artist The Game and Director Taydoe TV collaborated to provide Needy Families in their hometown with toys and clothes in the city of Compton during the holiday season. They also collaborated with Christian artist Eastwood and Institute for Maximum Human Potential (IMHP).

December 23, 2009 The parking Lot of Mount Pilgrim Church in the city of Compton starts to fill with families waiting for Christmas to arrive. Inside, the church's reception hall, a lady in a red santa hat along with other representatives from the Institute for Maximum Human Potential (IMHP), Black Wall Street, and Taydoe TV work frantically to prepare the stations for the families. Along one wall is a mountain of clothing donated by Black Wall Street, Famous Stars and Straps Clothing line, Christian Audigier, Karl Kani and several individuals. Volunteers are assigned to separate the clothes into male and female and arrange them on tables by size. Meanwhile other volunteers are frantically sorting toys donated by Mattel, Highway Patrol, IMHP, The Game, Black Wallstreet, Taydoe Productions and several other individuals into male, female and gender neutral sections. Once the Family had selected their choices they had the opportunity to have their pictures taken with The Game, Eastwood, Mrs. Brown and Taydoe.

Dontay “Taydoe” Kidd of Black Wall Street beamed as he watched the vision come together. He had spent the last few weeks soliciting the majority of the clothing given away at the event. “I am so happy we were all able to do this. The Game and I grew up here in Compton. We knew that it was time to show our town some appreciation, so when the opportunity arose to do this event I told him he had to be a part of it.” And he did, The Game ended up staying after all the families had received their items to encourage some of the young children who were dancing in the Church parking lot.

Taydoe TV presents...Michael Jackson tribute "Better on the other side" Behind the Scenes video

Taydoe got the bad news about Michael Jackson and he called Game, since he knows he was a fan of MJ also. "Damn that's crazy. I gotta pay my respects. I'm doing a tribute song!, Game said." Taydoe's first thought was to edit a tribute video from Taydoe TV. But when he came up with this brilliant idea, it was only right to collaborate and direct a video to accompany the song. Taydoe sent one camera to the hospital, one camera to the house and one camera to the studio to ensure we cover all avenues on this day. During the editing process, the footage was so monumental in the sense that everyone was together and enjoying each other's love for MJ. Taydoe enjoyed the process of directing this Tribute video and feel honored to be a part of history.

We love you MJ!! You will never be forgotten.

The Game vs Snoop Dogg in Celebrity Bball Game

The Game, Snoop Dogg and others to play in Celebrity Basketball Game

Los Angeles Sparks coach Michael Cooper, two-time NBA All-Star Champion and former Los Angeles Lakers Norman Nixon, and WNBA Champion and All-Star Game MVP Los Angeles Sparks Center Lisa Leslie, will join a roster of celebrities and sports athletes as part of a celebrity basketball game to benefit The Stepping Stone, a new youth center in Compton for local area youth to learn sports, arts, and receive academic tutoring. Hosted by Zion Baptist Evangelistic Temple and PreachBoy Ministries, proceeds raised will help to finish construction on the once vacant building slated to open to the public in the Spring. Cooper, Nixon, and Leslie will be joined by Los Angeles Lakers Forward Trevor Ariza, rappers Snoop Dogg, The Game, Warren G, Eric "Lil Eazy E" Wright Jr., actors Allen Payne ("House of Payne"), Arlen Escarpeta ("American Dreams"), singer Brian McKnight, and former NBA players Khalid Reeves (Chicago Bulls Guard), Pooh Richardson (Los Angeles Clippers Point Guard), and Byron Russell (Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets Shooting Guard). In addition to the main game, there will be a halftime show and 3-point contest. The game will take place on Saturday, January 17 at 4 p.m. at Compton High School (601 S. Acacia Avenue Compton).
